Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know
TabTrade - The Short VersionTab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker. His background tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker. The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is solid.PlatformsAvailable: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out when it arrives. What You PayThree account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for beginners.Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size. How Fast Are the FillsThe execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.RegulationNow, the part that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there. That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should inform your assessment. The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.Welcome OfferTabTrade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit. The full review, covering the full tab trade fee table, withdrawal policies, and regulatory details, is at Trade The Day.
